The Airports of Thailand (AoT) Public Co., Ltd. will install televisions at Suvanabhumi ariport’ s Baggage Claim in order to protect the passengers from being deceived by illegal taxis and tour guides.

After a meeting on solutions to the problems of illegal taxis and guides at the Suvarnabhumi Airport, AoT President Serirat Prasutanond pointed out that the AoT board had reported the approaches to suppress such problems to Transport Minister Sopon Zarum. He said apart from arresting the illegal tours, long term measures to solve such problems had been arranged. He explained that the AoT would provide televisions at the Baggage Claim to inform inbound travelers of how to avoid being deceived by illegal taxis and tour guides.

According to the statistics, 410 illegal taxi drivers and 217 illegal guides at the airport had been arrested. He hoped that they would no longer defraud the airport customers as the AoT had been strict in suppressing them.
