“Good Products from the Far South” to be held in Chatuchak Weekend Market, Bangkok

Asean Cooing Dove Competition

The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives will hold the “Good Products from the Far South” during 10 to 13 September at the Marketing Organization for Farmers (MOF) Market next to Chatuchak Weekend Market.

Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister, Theera Wongsamut, stated that the fair would be held for the second time as it had gained a lot of interest in its first year. He said the Ministry had played an essential part in promoting and developing the agriculture and agricultural institutions in the five southern border provinces.

The project was to let the southern farmers sell and show their products at the fair. It was also hoped that it would help provide more marketing channels and create incomes to those farmers who were affected by the unrest in the areas.

The fair will offer local products, fruits and handicrafts from the southern border provinces. It would be arranged in zones defined by provinces. (NNT)
