Care on the Loy Krathong Day

Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB) advised consumers to handle fireworks with care, and to avoid accidents on the Loy Krathong Day.

Mr Niroth Charuenprakob, the Secretary-General of OCPB cited that Loy Krathong was an aesthetic Thai tradition inherited from generation to generation. People would come to ask for forgiveness from the rivers. In addition, merry-making and entertainment are order of the day. Consumers should avoid accidents, especially that caused by fireworks.

Moreover, in many places there are the floating balloons, People are warned to use the balloon filled with helium instead of hydrogen, as helium is nonflammable gas or the inert gas.
