ASEAN Music and Culture Festival to Conclude Thailand´s Chairmanship

ASEAN National Secretariat is in cooperation with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to launch the last ASEAN event before passing the chairmanship to Vietnam on 1 January 2010.

Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, Wittawat Sriwihok today chaired a press conference on the launch of ASEAN Music and Culture Festival in a bid to promote the unity among 10 ASEAN countries via each country’s remarkable cultures and music. The event will take place at Central world Plaza from 11 to 12 December 2009.

Bangkok Deputy Governor, Ms Taya Teepsuwan, said the main show, namely Spirit of ASEAN would be in a contemporary style to represent ASEAN unity. Other activities features the show performed by ASEAN renowned artists as well as an ASEAN exhibition. (NNT)
