New campaign brings researchers and entrepreneurs together

Technology Management Center (TMC) announces the Lab to Market (L2M) project to support the conversion of technological ideas into products.

Ms Chachanart Thebtaranonth, Executive Director of TMC, said that most of the ideas and inventions created reached a dead end when the research was finished to a certain point. This project will help create funds from our ideas to further fuel our research.

Mr Edward Rubesch, Director of the Technology Licensing Office (TLO), said that protecting intellectual property was only a first step. Now the TLO will act as a go-between researchers and investors. This project will bridge the gap between what goes on in the lab and the market place.

The Lab to Market (L2M) project will contain three main events that will invite business university students to participate including a workshop and boot camp to train and create an understanding between researchers and students ending with a NSTDA Technopreneurship Prizes competition that will provide a chance for each team to compete with others.
