    Tourists flock to the Phanom Rung Historical Park and the Mueang Tam Stone Sanctuary in Buri Ram Province, as the Preah Vihear Temple is temporarily closed.

    During the five-day-long weekend covering the Commencement of the Buddhist Lent, an average of 5,000 tourists per day visit the Phanom Rung Historical Park and the Mueang Tam Stone Sanctuary in Buri Ram. Usually only 1,000 to 2,000 tourists per day are seen. Souvenir shops and food shops have been doing brisk business. Billions of baht is expected to circulate during the five-day long weekend.
