The Airports of Thailand (AOT) will arrange a seminar on air transport promotion with emphasis on leading Chinese tourism entrepreneurs.

AOT President, Serirat Prasutanond, said the seminar will take place on 2-3 December at the Pullman Hotel in Bangkok. The seminar is expected to help increase air travel to Thailand in preparation for the economic recovery. The president said air travel in the Kingdom was improving.

Throughout the year, an average of 700,000-750,000 Chinese travelers visited Thailand. This was less when compared to the 1.1 million people who travelled to Thailand before the economic crisis.

More visitors from China are expected to travel to Thailand, especially towards the last two months of the tourist season, said Sansern Ngaorangsi, an executive of the Tourism Authority of Thailand. (NNT)
